George Pulliam

We have received notice that George Pulliam has died. Mr Pulliam initiated as an Apprentice Steamfitter into LU 235 in 1957. He retired in 1997 and was a 58 year life member. He was 78 years old.

There will be no funeral service at his request.

Walter L Anderson

We have received notice that Walter L Anderson has died. Mr. Anderson initiated as a BT Pipefitter HVAC/R into LU 308 in 1971. He transferred into LU 235 in 1982 and retired in 1998. He was 79 years old.

Walter Washburn

We have received notice that Walter Washburn died on Aug 3rd. Mr. Washburn initiated as a BT Pipefitter into LU 708 in 1969, transferred into LU 290 in 1995 and he retired in 2001. He was 75 years old. We are sorry to report that his wife Marcia died 5 days later.

Laurence A Clark

We have received notice that Laurence A Clark has died. Mr. Clark initiated as a Steamfitter Apprentice into LU 235 in 1970 and he retired to Brush Prairie, WA in 1995. He had just turned 80 years old last Wednesday.

Elmo Marquette

We have just received notice that Elmo Maarquette died in April. Mr. Marquette initiated as an Apprentice Plumber into LU 51 in 1950. He retired in 1975 and was a 64 year Life Member. He was just one day shy of his 87th birthday.

Mark Brownlee

We have received notice that Mark Brownlee has died. Mr. Brownlee initiated as a Steamfitter Apprentice into LU 235 in 1975. He retired to Pensacola, Florida in 2010.
He was 63 years old.

Dan Lang

We have received notice that Dan Lang has died. Mr. Lang initiated as the Owner of Bay Cities Fabricators and more recently G Fab LLC in the Medford area. He was 67 years old.

Fred “Carl” Griffith

Memorial Gathering Information:

Our father, Fred “Carl” Griffith, passed away in March of this year. He was a BT Plumber who worked out of LU 347 & LU 290 for many years and was a 63 year Life Member.

We invite anyone interested to join us in honoring his life on Sunday, August 16th, at 1:00 pm. The memorial gathering will be at the Oak Grove Grange, 2760 Oak Grove Rd NW.

The Grange is west of Salem, next to the elementary school and across the street from the church.

Richard Nimmo

We have received notice that Richard Nimmo died in April. Mr. Nimmo initiated as a Marine Fitter Apprentice into LU 290 in 1990 and he retired in 2007. Most recently he was living in Longview, WA. He was 67 years old.

If anyone knows where we can reach his sister Sandra Lee Nimmo-Larrison, please contact Sue Anne at the LU 290 office.

Robert Lee Auvil

We have received notice that Robert Lee Auvil has died. Mr. Auvil initiated as an Apprentice Steamfitter into LU 347 in 1962. He served on the Apprenticeship Council, the Executive board and taught classes. He retired to McMinnville in 1999. He was 73 years old.

Henry “Bart” Wilson

We have received notice that Henry “Bart” Wilson passed away on July 7th at OHSU after a long battle with head and neck cancer. Mr. Wilson initiated as an apprentice plumber in LU 51 in 1978 and retired in 2007. He was 62 years old.

James A Brown

We have received notice that James A Brown has died. Mr. Brown initiated as a Plumber Apprentice into LU 51 in 1965 and he retired to La Pine in 2002. He was 10 days shy of being a 50 year member and would have celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary in October. He was 69 years old.

The funeral will be for family only.

Donald Stonebraker

We have received notice that Donald Stonebraker (Herman’s father) has died. Mr. Stonebraker initiated as a BT Plumber into LU 481 in 1957 & became a BT Pipefitter in 1975. He retired in 1995 and was a 58 year Life Member. He had just turned 82 years old.

The Funeral will be held on Friday, July 10th at 10:00am

William G Harding

We have received notice that William G Harding died earlier this month. Mr. Harding initiated as a BT Plumber into LU 51 in 1955. He retired in 1991 and was a 60 year Life Member. He was 85 years old.

Odis Goodin

We have received notice that Odis Goodin has died. Mr. Goodin initiated as a BT Pipefitter into LU 621 in 1973 and retired in1998. He was 78 years old.

Savage Family

A Celebration of Life for the stepson of Robert “Brian” Savage, who was killed in a car accident, will be held on Saturday, June 27 at 11am at the Stevenson Boat Launch in Stevenson Washington.

Claud Poteet

We have received notice that Claud Poteet has died. Mr. Poteet initiated as a BT Pipefitter into LU 347 in 1950. He retired in 1993 and was a 64 year Life Member. He was 95 years old.

Robert Mach

We have received notice that Robert Mach has died. Mr. Mach initiated as a MT Fitter into LU 235 in 1975 and he retired in 2002. He was 77 years old.

Dewey Henderson

We have received notice that Dewey Henderson has died. Mr. Henderson initiated as a BT Pipefitter HVAC/R into LU 418 in 1965 and he retired in 2004. He was 73 years old.

Gene Marshall

We have  received notice that Gene Marshall has died. Mr. Marshall initiated as a Marine Fitter into LU 290. He was 59 years old.

Bruce Stanko

We have received notice that Bruce Stanko has died.  Mr. Stanko initiated as an Apprentice Plumber into LU 51 in 1972. He was 61 years old.

Vernon Sparhawk

We have received notice that Vernon Sparhawk died earlier this month. Mr. Sparhawk initiated as a BT Plumber into LU 621 in 1959.  He retired in 1994 and was a 55 year Life Member. He was 81 years old.

Charles C Olmsted

We have received notice that Charles Olmsted died last week. Mr. Olmsted initiated as a Journeyman Plumber into LU 347 in 1953. He retired in 1984 and was a 53 year Life Member. He was 93 years old.

His service will be held on Tues, May 26th, 2015  at  11:00 a.m.

Richard W Sanders Jr

We have received notice that Richard Sanders Jr died yesterday. Mr. Sanders initiated as an Apprentice Plumber into LU 481 in 1978 and retired in 2007. He was 68 years old.

John “Butch” Morris

We have received notice that John “Butch” Morris has died. Mr. Morris initiated as a Steamfitter Apprentice into LU 211 in 1975 and transferred into LU 290 in 2006.

He was 60 years old.

Bruce Roy

We have received notice that Bruce Roy died last month. Mr. Roy initiated as a MT Fitter into LU 235 in 1980 and retired in 2008. He was 64 years old.

Allen L Jones

We have received notice that Allen L Jones has died. Mr. Jones initiated as a MT Journeyman into LU 235 in 1968. After serving in the military and passing the exam, he resumed his career as a BT Pipefitter until he retired in 2003. He was 68 years old.
